Riquewihr Riesling

Riesling from less than one hectare on a hillside overlooking the village of Riquewihr, Andrée Trapet’s hometown. Like all their holdings in the Côte de Nuits, all plots here are farmed biodynamically. Fermented in tank, aged for 10 months in neutral oak barrels and concrete eggs. Elegant, precise nose with citrus, floral and stony notes. Dry, pure, quite refined. Nice tension, subtle minerality

2011 vintage: really quite textbook dry style. Beautiful cx bouquet w the classic Pierre a fusil. Excellent attack, taught mineral palate w long flinty finish. Delicious.

The R.Q.W.R. Riesling: ripe, almost honeyed stone fruit, real soft texture, a bit restrained.

Biodynamic alsacienne Riesling, typical grape character, very pure in taste. Mineralic, very clear!! Creamy character with white and exotic fruits are very present and pleasant.

Great mineral body and long resonant acid waves. The aroma could be more complex and penetrating but the purity of material is strikingly outstanding. Off-dry.

This is the R.

Mineral. A tad vegetal. Sort of lovely. Floral. Almost sauvignon blancy

Mineral. Very good.

This Riesling on the fuller, creamier side. Acid is in the glass, not in your face.

Elegant petroleum nose, then sweet flowers, honey...

Honeysuckle, marmalade, petroleum, minerality and a slight candied citrus note. Holding up impeccably

Lemon oil, petrol and slate. Held up beautifully.
