Not rustic like many Gevreys I’ve had, refined and elegant. A short decant opened up the deeper fruit. Happy New Year!

Moderately saturated medium red. Aromas of red berries and spices convey noteworthy soil complexity. Supple and dry on the palate, with redcurrant and spicy oak flavors leading to a suavely tannic finish. Distinctly saltier than the 2015 version. (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2017)

Despite its youth, this is some seriously amazing juice. Cherries, cranberries, a little sous-bois. Remarkably well-balanced, too.
