Limpid violet. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes black raspberry and cherry preserves, incense, exotic spices and smoky minerals. Sweet, seamless and energetic on the palate, showing impressive depth as well as sharp delineation to its intense red and dark berry, spicecake and lavender pastille flavors. Finishes smooth, sappy and extremely long, with repeating florality and deftly interwoven tannins that add framework and gentle closing grip. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2020)

Youthful and a bit disjointed but still a voluptuous glass of wine. Great extract with black cherry, Garrigue, raspberry essence, lavender and blackberry. Hedonistic but give it at least two more years to develop. Soft tannins, low acid and high alcohol

The first bottle was corked. The second bottle was a cross between Mystery Bret and rusty nails in fresh killed meat.

This one was laying down for the last year, and could still use a bit more time. It still has a bit of a bite to it, though it softens in the glass with time.

Ooh baby ... This is a big, dark wine, but not totally overpowering. Dark fruit, brambly, dried potpourri, anise & some spice I can't figure out yet. Fun drinking now, but would love to try again by year's end

Balsamic vinegar appearance shows its 9 years of ageing. Pretty nez de Provence which also shows a wide array of tertiary aromas.
On the palate juicy stewed southern fruits such as ripe cherry, plums, figs and dates. Black tea, smoke, a heat mineral touch and of course a gariqueesk finish which is pretty long. ‘14 even brought 15% which is hardly noticeable. Love this wine and its a textbook example of what quality G can bring after 9 years.
