Spreading happiness with wine as a sommelier in the Bay Area
Beautiful, Bordeaux-like, dark fruit at first, then more refined as it opened with sour cherry, minerals, rose petal, fresh herbs, with touch of mint and a finish that went on & on... Absolutely lovely! — 8 years ago

Green apple entry & mid palate, fennel or anise mid & the finish drops only for a super-split second, then revives with jasmine, cherry chalk and raspberry 😍 — 8 years ago
May need to rate this again after 30 minutes... Dark plum, raspberry, savory, white pepper, rock dust & just a little floral (white)... Finish is long & tangy, like goji berry tea; it's still opening — 9 years ago
A nice, refreshing Franciacorta... touch of brioche, almond, bright pink grapefruit and slight bitter grapefruit (seed) on finish... — 8 years ago
Delicious Cab from Maipo, a tasty surprise! Dusty plum, cassis, balanced with good acidity. — 9 years ago

This is the 2009 Spring Mtn Syrah co-ferment with 24% Viognier. Seems like a lot of V but it's so well-balanced. Rhone-like. Plum, savory, freshly crushed herbs, cured meat, hint of white flowers and lavender & great acidity. I'm always impressed with Spring Mtn estate wines! — 8 years ago
