La Fontenelle Chiroubles Gamay

Sneak attack of intense flavored fresh fruit—cherry, raspberry, blueberry—after a sorta closed aroma. Smooth and rich, but sharp, lively acid. Nice companion at the grill... 🥳▶️

Wonderful fruit concentration, serious acidity and big league minerality. Aromas are somewhat reticent initially, but the palate is explosive, intense and persistent right from the get-go. Think raspberry, blood orange, Asian spice, old copper pennies. Already fairly well-aged, the tannin structure gives me confidence for excellent mid-term cellaring potential. Might be difficult to find in the US market, but consumers should buy with the utmost confidence- especially at this price point. Superb!

2014. Lieu-dit "La Fontanelle". Clear and firm. Great quality of fruit and structure. Smoke and cherry.

Fine Beaujolais wine. Light, and fresh; airy notes ... floral and very fruity. Gourmet texture in the mouth. q/p perfect.

Color dark ruby purple, mineral, sorrel, slight agave small, taste is tart, acidic and full with jam with a warm chalky minerality that is tender and pervasive at the end

light, fruity / floral, crunchy, fresh, delicious ... a magnificent Beaujolais gamay, with the usual notes of small red fruits (cherries, raspberries, strawberries), flowers (violet, iris, wilted rose) .. I love it
