The south facing floral, pure and mineral 2011 Tillets is in such a good spot. It’s captivatingly aromatic with layers of honeyed white orchard fruit, lilies, toasted hazelnut and gun smoke. The palate is vibrant and so elegant with a crystalline purity, balanced citrusy acids and a persistent stony mineral finish. Excellent vintage for Roulot.

The south facing floral, pure and mineral Tillets and 2011 is a perfect match. It’s in a fantastic spot flaunting a beautiful bouquet of lilies, gunflint, hazelnut, honeyed stone fruit and lemon zest. The palate is incredibly vibrant with a crystalline purity, citrusy acids, an elegant texture and a stony mineral spine that holds it all together before its long, lifted and focused finale. 2011 Tillets has come together beautifully!

One bottle corked, and another less than pristine. Quoting SC, this was like having oysters coated in butter. Scrumptious, albeit a tad advanced.

Gorgeous and fresh on the nose. Lime, slate, hints of peach. Very pure. Poised, balanced and delicious. Excellent

Rich, precise and with superb tension and energetic acidity. White flowers, green apple, citrus blossoms and lemon zest. Finishes with excellent length, focus and with a stony minerality. The Lieu-Dit master,
JMR.

A touch too advanced but still a solid bottle.

I find Domaine Roulot too consistent and too perfect. I said it. It always delivers exactly what I expect and sometimes I just want to be shocked when I spend that much money. But how can I complain about its French Burgundian perfection?
