The 2015 Volnay Taillepieds 1er Cru shows a bit of reduction on the nose, eventually clearing to offer undergrowth and bay leaf infused red fruit. The palate is underpinned by firm tannin, impressive depth. Quite a complex and grippy Volnay with superb length. Pascal Roblet has really got a handle on this Volnay. Medium ruby , medium garnet rim . Quite high toned aromatic red cherries , blueberry , touch of spice , very fresh and lively . Lovely fresh fruit and balanced acidity , lightly gritty tannins . Good length , slightly earthy finish. Still showing really quite young and lively , probably will improve over the next 5 years or so .

Unbelievable complex. Slight bouquet of tar and cigar smoke. Wonderful full rich flavor that opens the pallet. Pairs Especially well with Duck! Having duck number 1152865 at Tour de Argent with my Wife Kimberly.
