Aloxe-Corton Pinot Noir

Dark robe, hint of reduction, bosky, black-fruited, plummy on nose, framed by a hint of spice. Palate is ripe black cherry, earth, medium tannins, baking spice, hint of iron. Medium-bodied, good persistence, medium-long finish, plenty of grip. Seems like there's a bit coiled within. Re-buy, but but hold for 5-8+ years to see if fruit to earth ratio becomes something more exciting. This is quite good now; probably upside

We had the 2015 Vintage on 11/26-27/20. Tastes of raspberry, mushrooms and minerality. The tannins were smoothed out. Not bad and definitely Old World and Burgundian.

Needs more time in the bottle

Had with lunch in Chambole-Mussigny as part of our adventure to Burgundy. Quite dry, took some time to open up. Maybe a couple of more years on the shelf would help. But classic mid weight Pinot Noir.

Peppery finish medium bodied complex well balanced at potente

Heavy, fragrant notes of dark, dark cherry, eucalyptus. On the palate more dense black cherry fruit, dried leaves, black tea. Dense and palate coating. A strong backbone of drying tannins and refreshing acidity portends a long life ahead. hold 5+ years

Odd wine. A little dried out and extracted.
