Burgundy 2005 absurdity.

Experienced this producer last year and wasn’t a fan but everyone deserves a second chance….Mr Prieure is redeeming himself…..Sommelier was a big fan too, recommending this over some other big names…..tasting notes: very light and delicate, scents of pickled cucumber (yes, really) and rhubarb. Not our usual deep berry concentration, this one is much more sophisticated, and deserving of the occasion and venue!

More natural than I prefer for burg, but still great. Took an hour or so to open up so that the Pinot and vosne quality shined. Idk what the oak regime was in this vintage but I couldn’t taste much. Very diffuse, earthy and a little funky.

Stemmy loveliness. Persistent and singular. Stand out

Concentrated but elegant aromas of Smoke, gamy, concentrated red fruit, eucalyptus, hint of ox note on the end, med body, med p acid, such a delicate structure, hint of ox on end, structure, minerality on the end, finesse...

Really broad. Strawberry, deep fruit. Leroy-like. Very good
