More ripeness and plump fruit than Corbeaux. Will age for years to come.

Light like a feather. Quite stinky on the nose. Drink now! 13.5%. Brown tinge. Touch oxidized. Subdued cherry, orange zest. Very fine grained tannins. A touch more fruit would be nice. At this point tastes like an old Burgh. Definitely drink up this will not further improve. Was fun with black cod prepared a la Nobu. Would i buy this again (No). This is in the end not one the producers in Burgundy which i would recommend (based on multiple bottles including GC’s over time).

One of Ave’s vintage bottles. Quite tertiary and likely on the back side of the evolutionary curve.

Well. A fantastic wine. Dark cherry 🍒. Forest floor. Seems young to me and a shame to open this right now. The tannins are well integrated but this wine will have so much more to offer in 5-10 years from now. Pine, graphite, hint of oregano, white pepper. Burgundy doesn’t really get much better than this!!!

Nice mature nose with earth, anise, black cherry, sous bois and allspice. Palate is round with good earthy tones and red fruit. Tannins are resolved. Fully mature lacking just a touch of depth and complexity but enjoyable and fun.

Dark fruit, a little gamey. Lots of leather and underbrush on the palate. Tannins are ripe and provide nice texture; persistent acidity. The body and finish are medium. A nice subtle effort

Black cherry, raspberry and black tea. I'll look forward to drinking in another 10 years.

When in Rome, drink Gevrey-Chambertin? Yes! This was great value on list & paired wonderfully with a porcini crudi, cacio e pepe & fettuccini fatti w/ a showering of alba truffles... Keep it light, keep it tight.
