Oct 15th, 2020Reticent nose that requires focus to pick apart, but reveals baked orchard fruit (apricot, pear, apple), tangerine, and a chalky minerality. A bit more expressive on the palate with the addition of yellow flowers, but it’s all delicate and subtle. Round, plush texture and less acid than expected, but no complaints here. Ostertag just became available here in the Ozarks and while not what I anticipated, it’s a beautiful and complete wine. Anxious to try their other offerings.

Oct 6th, 2020Lovely ripe round orchard fruit. A nice foot in the door to the HQ Riesling vineyards of sunny dry Alsace via a top producer.
