Valentin Morel Les Pieds Sur Terre Les Trouillots Poulsard
Have had very few poulsards. Good pairing with a variety of mains (bass, chicken, etc). Quite a lot of strawberry, almost venturing into fruit punch territory but manages to stay on the right side of that. Acid a bit light for my taste. Definitely one that needs a chill.

Jul 30th, 2022Poulsard. Ikke interesseret i at drikke andet. Frisk, kompleks, krydret. Måske for ung. Men stadig god. 2018.

Sep 5th, 2020Good balance fresh fruit and acidity. Paired perfectly with a home made tomato based cassoulet. The acidity of the wine matched well with the acidity from the tomato and let the fresh and cool fruit notes shine.

Mar 12th, 2020Strawberries all the way down. A (very) little sous bois to finish. Medium high acidity. Comes off like a Fleurie more than a Jura Poulsard.

Sep 5th, 2019This is the blend of all three of Valentin Morel’s red grapes - mostly Trousseau with Pinot Noir and Poulsard. It reminds me very much of good Beaujolais, the best Beaujolais really. It’s more domesticated and cush with a luscious texture full of those tart green stemmy notes. Bright concentrated raspberries and sweet sour strawberries with lots of salty minerals. It’s drinking best on day three and I’m starting to look past the premium you pay for Jura. Subtle and slow warming, but nonetheless.
