Oily and broad. Lovely golden fruit- honeyed with lemon and white flowers and chalk. Fresh but luscious, rounded and plush. Very long. Really good

Medium gold color. Notes of stones and dirty rocks, lemon and citrus, a little mint. Very rich in the mouth. Powerful. Got better as the night went on. Was easy to pick the vigneron and vineyard but guessed this as the 93. So powerful and complex. When old Niellon is “on”, there is not much better of an experience.

Tasted blind. Light gold color. Dirty nose. Notes of citrus, stone, a little honey, some petrol and some leesy funk. Rich and elegant in the mouth, with lots of power that ramped up over the night. Toasty. More and more acidity. The dirty nose is a trigger for my guess (90 Niellon Batard) and while the "dirty" turns a little towards being corked over the night, the stuffing of this wine suggests it's one of the best old man Niellon has made in the last few decades. (M's 60th bday 1st of 14)

Tasted blind, from two combined bottles. Yellow gold. Dirty lemon nose. Notes of lemon creme, wet stones, some dirt, some marzipan and vanilla, and a little honeysuckle. Rich in the mouth. Good structure with softened acidity. The unique nose of Niellon is easy to identify... Guessed 86 Batard. Great juice.

Tasted blind. Straw gold color. Looks young but the complex nose says it isn’t. Notes of citrus, apricot, gravel, some mint. Has that dirty nose that I connect Niellon to. Stunning power, structure and acidity in the mouth. I’m told this was open for 6 hrs already. Some conversation leads to Batard as the vineyard. Someone guesses Ramonet but I go with 86 Niellon Batard. Bam. An all time fav white for me, this was one of the best showings for it.

M’s bday dinner (2/12). Tasted blind. Med gold color. Dirty nose with notes influenced by the prominent wood. Some hazelnut, ginger, light citrus and river stones. Rich and glycerol in the mouth. Tons of acidity. Some mint in the nose leads me to guess late 80s Ramonet but I should know this profile is always Niellon. Great bottle that even with 4 hours of air before dinner this was better later in the evening. Surprised at the amount of acidity for a 92... great juice.

Nice medium gold color. Viscous. Notes of lemon, stone, oak, some orange and earth. Amazingly rich in the mouth. Powerful acidity builds over a few hours. So rich, which is evident in the long finish. Along with the Clos St Hune, my white WOTN
