Somewhat volatile. Seeking balance. Tough, austere vintage where the fruit can’t find its place among the acid and oak.

An epic wine, though still in its youth very much accessible. Gains oak and weight with air. Creamy, nearing tropical (cantaloupe), with a long, spicy vanilla finish. Great with a seafood bake.

Insanely truffled !
Not as amazing as expected given the AOC but very good anyway.

White, wet mushrooms and River stones. A revelation in the potential of Chardonnay.

All of the delicious things in a glass, and I can taste it about half an hour later...must be at its peak in 2016...delightfully honeyed, slight vanilla-infused butter, tropical notes, apricot, Eccles cake. Salted caramel. Fresh, open.

If there is better I haven't had it. M. Chapuis is a genius in the vineyard. 2006, perhaps peak.
