Seven years and delicious with quite a bit of life left in it. 2016 could easily drink to 2024 or 2025 if stored correctly.

Light straw colored. Has a toasted scent, a bit of vanilla, similar to a brut. More like the crust of well buttered toast. Ok, enough of analyzing that… The first thing you’ll notice when you taste is the salinity, super strong, followed by strong minerality and crisp green tart apples. It’s a lingering wine, not a casual sipper. I bet it would be great with some food. Medium bodied, high acid, makes your tongue push against the top of your mouth.

I know it’s an Ouillé style, but I think there is some oxidation going on. Not much, but it’s there. Love it.

Textured like fancy Burgundy, round, pure, racy; flavors are salty like Chablis, earthy and funky like Alsace, spicy and leesy like Belgian beer. Just a little boozy and over the top, but a lot to like here.

More salinity than I expected but a solid food wine

A significantly malo nose (cream, and marshmallow), with some lemon, but held in check on the nose. Very funky in an outdoor (forest floor) way. Acid for days!

Bright and round at the same time. Citrus fruit, little oxidative, great acid.

Notes of citrus zest, saline, a bit salty and just a tad oxidative but not as much as typical savagnin.

Always a great bottle - saline, high toned zesty citrusy notes, some subtle funky cellar room character on the nose. Palate is bright, not oxidative as other Jura’s can be. Orange blossom and leafy character on the back end. Refreshing and unique.

What an interesting wine! I've been wanting to try wines from Arbois, and I can't say I am left hanging. Cerebral.. lemon oil and rosemary, fresh ginger, brioche, and a faint hint of flint. Zippy and lemony on the pallet, but with a creamy/oily texture -pink Himalayan salt?- raw almond, honeydew, and a supple finish. Can't wait to try the desert styles:)
Paired well with my dinner choice tonight - Noodle Bowl with Soy-Glazed Duck, Mushrooms & Winter Greens.

A lot of alcohol and aldehydic character. Very disappointing.
