Marquis d’Angerville “Clos des Ducs” 2013- Needed a lot of time get going. Initially quite austere and not very giving but comes around after a sufficient decant to show a lovely purity and elegance. The bouquet is quite beautiful. But 2013 definitely needs more time for the palate to come together.

A preliminary window displaying the power and depth of site countered by elegance of producer. However, vintage had it quickly fall apart and turn green.

This was even a better bottle than the one I had 6 years ago. Red fruits, minerals, orange zest , herbs . The rich sweet fruit of the vintage full bodied on the palate with a pretty long finish. This bottle was very fresh and still could go another 5 to 10 years . Quite impressive!

This wine tonight showed amazingly. Great structure, tannins, acid and fruit. What an time to be alive!
