Damn... people were guessing Vosne Romanee Premier or Grand Cru. Always fond of Marc Roy but this was the surprise wine of the night.

Loved the stemmy depth but not the waxy softness in evidence right now. Well balanced otherwise. Should improve in the bottle. The only one of three Marc Roy wines to disappoint me this year.

Young, explosive and expressive. Primary fruit that jumps from the glass and pleases. Great youthful satisfaction here.

Nothing but great things to say about the potential of this wine, just wait 4-5 years, way too young tonight. Having three more, I needed the data point ;)

Domaine Marc Roy "Cuvée Alexandrine" 2011. 100% tiny millerandage 'shot berries', beautiful velvety concentration even though young

A stunner. 2013 vintage. Tightly wound and vervey, poignant notes of anise, licorice, brambly fruit.

2011 vintage. Young and coiled but so much in there. Earthy gamy deep Gevrey.
