Clos Reginu Corse Calvi Red Blend

Almost a mirror image of a Leon Barral Faugeres. At least the brett was exactly the same (in a good way).

On opening, has a great nose but very tight. Give it a couple hours and you’ll be rewarded.

Red fruit, caramel, very little tannin, young drinkable blend for every day table

Excellent earth, funk, grip... delicious. Would love to see what this wine will do with a little age.

Fun ‘n dusty. Had it as an afternooner with some olives.

Nice funk and barnyard smell/taste. Leather and soil.

Pomegranate, blackberry compote, olives, bay leaf, graphite, sun dried tomatoes, black peppercorns, violets. Snapping rounded acidity, narrow rough velvet tannins, medium-full bodied, juicy-silky texture, long herbal-smoky-slightly floral finish. The Corsican grapes in the blend shine aromatically, lovely weight provided by the rhone blend. Excels way beyond price point, quality greatly improved in recent vintages.
