Nose is black olive, green olive and lavender. Herbs de Provence. Gamey, meaty, bloody and gravy. Palate is young. Never taste red wines on a full moon I guess as both of tonight’s red wines are good but seem unusually tannic. The noses are on point but man the palates are backwards! But so good. Palate is all blackberry and granite with sick length. Tastes like a barrel sample which is so weird! Great length, clarity but big boy tannins. Huge tannins, but the fruit is right there. Based on this tasting wait 5 years.

Cocoa. Juicy and a bit thick with some bitterness. Definitely on the bloody, gamey side. Forest soil. Almost a winner but just misses to my palate.

Aug 6th, 2022This is fantastic. The Domaine bottling here is so so good. What a nose. Dark flowers, huge bacon, huge florals, wow, what florals, dark blackberry, smoke, grilled meats and sizzling bacon. Mint, menthol. What a nose. Total 2015 in the best possible sense. It commands your attention. Palate is superb. Amazing fruit, obviously young but such power and depth with really fine tannins. So pure. Amazing tiny berry fruit intensity. So balanced and what a finish. 2015 is so good. This Crozes is something to reckon with. So much finesse and sick texture. So long.

Lovely. Black pepper bacon and soft olive brine on the nose. On the palate: excellent density and solid acidity: black pepper, olive, bacon. Soft tannin on the finish. Yum.

Great winemaker
Classic crozes. Not trying to be something it isn’t. Just a great example of what it is.
Nose is fresh hand crushed blueberries and wild blackberries. As this opens Gorgeous lilacs.
Palate is juicy. Not heavy like many 15s.

Sooo good...Violets mixed with blue and purple fruits. Smoky, meaty and iron clad. Perfect for ribs without breaking the bank. Solid value.
