Romanée St. Vivant Marey-Monge Pinot Noir

A little serious. Some slightly oxidized wide notes and a forest floor gnarliness. Some tang and rich finish. Good stuff but perhaps not a perfect bottle

The color was a bit dull, level not so low but still..!
Feels like cooked in mouth, wine was almost dead unfortunately..!

For the vintage this wine was beautiful.

Pretty darn good. Still rather acidic. Tonne of grapeyness, but still some olivey/greeny undertones. Lively and relatively fresh.

Drank alongside the 93 DRC RSV. Nose on the Leroy is the Jenna Jameson of Vosne-Romanée but the DRC is the clear master of Romanee St Vivant in this flight. Leroy has the nose, DRC the palate...

Neat. Swore it tasted hot. Been wrong about that sort of thing before. Clearly fully ages and not screaming but still super interesting. Some dark fruitness. Lots of leathery goodness. Of the old glove variety

Fruit still vibrant.
