Stumped me. Cork was leaky. Wine was flat, borderline corky. Called my importer, got pissed. Returned to 5 hours later and BAM. Wine is great and I feel like a complete dick. For the record. Opened 3 bottles and all corks were shit. Results have been the same with first two. I'm sure the 3rd will be great as well. LEARNED ALOT

On one rare occasions, the husband was asked his opinion. He said "Elegant and velvety. I liked it. I'd drink it again." He strung words together. Smart man.

Decanting really helps bring out the ripe cherry. Bit of oak and earth. Love a solid Burgundy.

A little lacking in depth and complexity. I mean I hate to leave a meh review for a wine that was so darn expensive online but it took a while to open up and then it never really developed to be on that. What was there was bright and fun and enjoyable but really lacked any depth. Luckily it wasn’t flabby and didn’t fall apart, just not much of a nose and didn’t have any follow through.

Nez peu jasant mais terreux, du fruit noir et une touche boisée, on retrouve ce bois en bouche aussi, sans être excessif, la bouche a un profil assez puissant et tannique, mais appuyée par un certain velouté de texture des tannins, encore un brin rustique. 89-90
The nose is discrete, a touch earthy, some dark fruit, and a touch of oak that I perceive on the palate with being excessive, the palate is powerful and still tannic with a rustic finish for now still.

Muted nose, earthy tones and slight oak after a quick decant and with some time in the glass, this oak is not excessive and we find it on the powerful bodied palate as well, good acidity and freshness to support these strong but still approachable tannins, the finish is a tad rustic for now, but this has potential and I won’t touch my other bottles for 2-3 years. 89-90
Nez assez discret, terreux et une touche boisée à l’aération, on retrouve ce bois en bouche aussi, sans être excessif, acidité bien dosée et la bouche a un profil puissant et assez tannique, mais appuyée par un certain velouté des tannins, pour l’instant la finale est un brin rustique mais se boit très bien en l’état, tout en ayant je pense un beau potentiel si on l’attend au moins 2-3 ans. 89-90

Very nice village pinot, bright & lively, good acidity, reasonable tannins though light and not very prominent, hints of earth and forest beginning to develop.
