70% Syrah 30% Grenache. Nice if a bit jammy.

This is way less tight than it was a year ago. Now it's way more RIGHT! Soft red fruits, strawberry preserves, and zing.

2014. Needs A LOT of air. Tank-raised, non carbonic maceration wines that are bottled young tend to be hard and unfriendly the first year in bottle. (Lots of Bob Kacher's Rhone wines fall into this category.) This wine was not pleasant on night 1. Night two, it was soft, fruity, balanced, fragrant, deep, and thoroughly enjoyable, though not complex by any stretch. At $14, a good buy that would work with plenty of basic meals. Better in a year. In the meantime, decant thru a Vinturi several hours ahead of time.

Blackberry. Iron. Schist. Plenty of grip, but lift and freshness to match. Best Effet Rouge to date! #roussillon #carignane #syrah #grenachenoir

As expected, this has softened considerably in the bottle over the last few months. Blackberry black cherries, dark earthy minerals. Soft balanced and direct. Another solid $14 weekday dinner wine.

This wine is bitter...not in a bad way but rather like a Negroni is bitter. For me it presented with a strong iron note and then finally ended with blackberry. Considering the price, it is a good everyday wine.

I found it ready to drink
A bit of zing with good deep berry friut. Not tannic. A great every day pedestrian red.

Heavier bodied wine than I expected for the price. Blackberry and prune on the nose. Strawberry after it sits a bit. Nice, balanced medium bodied red. I agree with others who have said that this will be great after sitting for a year.
