Reliefs Côtes du Roussillon Carignan Grenache 2015

Very fine. Subtle elegant aromas. It doesn’t seem like a #carignan it seems more like a #grenache #garnacha or even a muscular #pinotnoir #côtescatalanes #cotescatalanes — 12 days ago

Roc Epine Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2016

Time to try some 2016s. Decanted for an hour. Deep colour, delicious, has everything you expect from an excellent year, try again in 3-4 years, if you can wait. This will age nicely and improve. Solid wine and solid value. — a month ago

Roc Valtuille Bierzo Mencía 2016

Started off with sour cherry, lavender and the unmistakable smell of motor oil on a driveway. The mouthfeel was dry and minerally, but elegantly so, with a beautiful finish that balanced fruit and tannins. We paired it with steak but this would go well with anything. — 2 months ago

Le Roc Anjou Cabernet Franc 2014

I’ve had a few bottles of this. It’s $12-14, first of all. The first night it comes off as a pretty basic bistro wine. Good acid, small tannins with some tack, straight up blackberry, very juicy. The next day the fruit turns more to ripe sour cherry and violets explode in the nose, it gets really perfumed. There is a perfect roasted green pepper note (which I happen to love) and Lots of spice on the finish the second day. — 2 months ago

@Severn Goodwin I’ve heard that that’s what they’re known for. That they make this cab franc and a cab sauv that they only release sporadically because they concentrate on their sweet whites.
