Why are you rating Tannat without FOOD?!
Would you do the same with Barolo?

Jul 6th, 2024A round interpretation of Madiran, a wine of character in essence. Balanced, with marked but soft and encompassing tannins.

2nd bottle and still so much pleasure. The well-worked Tannat grape brings notes of black plums; a mineral touch reminiscent of carbon or chemical smoke (not unpleasant), completed with a gourmet chocolate side, and notes reminiscent of pine or cedar sap or eucalyptus. The palate is supple and round with a lot of volume. The wine can still age for several years if we judge by the aromatic density. The tertiary woody touches are well melted, this is a good beefy and greedy bottle which will go as well with a chocolate desert as with a duck breast. Sweet and sour cooking will also go very well.

A beautiful balanced bottle, characteristic of the south west of France. Tannat blend with the aromas of the grape variety: Black plum, chocolate, licorice, light smoky touch ... also discreet notes of well-matured aging. Very nice wine for a meal with southern flavors (garlic, herbs, olive oils, duck confit, Italian food too)

Jul 12th, 2020wine to decant two-three hours to fully enjoy its aromas. Strong notes of caramel, chocolate or tobacco. the tannins although present remain flexible. it is an organic wine from the south west of France that tells the truth. no oak barrels or other artifices, the fruit and the earth speak and give us to taste a robust wine without exaggeration that will be associated with a southern meal. Very good value for money.
