Definitely NOT a wine for everyone. On the nose: bacon, funk and more funk. In the mouth: funky red fruit, Brett, bacon fat and herbs. Medium finish. I'm not sure it's traveled all that well from France. **update 2 hrs later** MUCH better. Most of the funk blew off, leaving a lean and savory Syrah. Much more of a fan.

Brett bomb. Smoke and cured meat. No fruit. I like funk in wine but this is too much for me. But interesting to try if you want a very forward example of those flavors.
