Classic Châteauneuf. Chewy. Grippy. Earthy. Garrigue. I love.

From a mag. Nose speaks of the terroir of which is grows-wet granite and dusty gravel. Such a clear expression of a light hand during the making of this wine. Palate is full of minerals, crushed rock and mushroom. Finish is scrappy with the tannins needed more time to mellow out. Fun bottle.

Really pleasant nose but the palate is just not very interesting.

Still bright acid & red fruits. Hint of baked earth on the finish.

I have no idea what those who gave the 2009 La Millière average ratings were drinking. It is a beautifully concentrated wine, showing deep penetrating fruit with notes of port, candied orange rind, licorice, and pepper. Bit of wet stones and garrigue on the nose. Wonderful!

Still too young for full judgement. Decanted for 2hrs before pairing with rack of lamb. Nose is muted and just trace amounts of cherry. Elegant and smooth but I would wait a few more years to try again. A 9 for now but potential to improve
