Domaine La Millière

Vieilles Vignes Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2018

I don’t drink much CDP but this is prettay prettay prettay, good. Fruit forward but lots of secondary leathery garrigue characteristics. I dig it. — 2 months ago

Can’t remember the last CdP I drank. Burned too many times back in the day.

Yeah same. For CdP’s price point it’s too easy to buy something else but snagged this a couple years ago on a marathon deal, got lucky, nice wine. I understand these wines “really shine” with a lot of age on them but ain’t nobody got time for that.

Domaine La Millière Côtes du Rhône Villages Vieilles Vignes 2013

A bright youthful drink. Nothing extraordinary but a very drinkable red Rhône blend with some fruit and texture. Very drinkable for a large party to enjoy. — 6 years ago

La Bessade Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2016

Good but unremarkable Chateauneuf. No flaws but weak Grenache flavor with little contribution from Syrah. Nose okay but weak. Went fine with lamb souvlaki but there are far better Chateuneufs at this price. — 8 months ago

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2009

I have no idea what those who gave the 2009 La Millière average ratings were drinking. It is a beautifully concentrated wine, showing deep penetrating fruit with notes of port, candied orange rind, licorice, and pepper. Bit of wet stones and garrigue on the nose. Wonderful! — 6 years ago
