Pure silk and juicy, the 2009s are so easy to enjoy now. The sunshine from the vintage is there in the glass for sure. An abnormal, hedonistic vintage, this is very enjoyable for what Burgundy is usually not. It's a nice change once in a while to go this route when it's not overdone. Harmony in the glass exudes red berries, earth, and plum. This is an exceptionally pure, deep, fresh and smooth as silk #gevreychambertin from #roty

Quite interesting: strong beef jerky and salami notes, caramelised onions, bakery and toasted brioche aromas, tons of cedar and smoke and it's all in the nose. Quite complex but nothing you'd expect from this clos and this vintage. Palate confirms the nose: meaty, smoky, foresty. Very gentle tannin, lower than expected acidity, I would NEVER guess 2009 here — definitely has the rusty Gevrey character, but seems like an early bloomer and I'm not sure if there's any sense in keeping this for longer. Drink up — it's delicious.
