Dark fruit with layers of complexity evident after 13 years of proper aging. Almost a “bubble gum” fruitiness, with Bordeaux-like cassis and peppery hints. Drinking well. Paired well with salmon.

Pure silk and juicy, the 2009s are so easy to enjoy now. The sunshine from the vintage is there in the glass for sure. An abnormal, hedonistic vintage, this is very enjoyable for what Burgundy is usually not. It's a nice change once in a while to go this route when it's not overdone. Harmony in the glass exudes red berries, earth, and plum. This is an exceptionally pure, deep, fresh and smooth as silk #gevreychambertin from #roty
