Côteaux de Tupin Côte-Rôtie Syrah

No formal notes. Just a really stunning wine. So pure. So serene. Truly vibrates on its own plane.

Syrah of the Serine kind....classic in every way, black and red fresh fruits, olive and spices galore, tar soared from the glass. Plenty of time left here for the cellar but enjoyable now....decanted 2 hours and it put on weight nicely over 4 hours. Awesome Syrah.

Epic Tupin.

Stellar Krazor nose but sadly JM Stephan could not over come the warmth of the vintage as he was not as good a winemaker as he is today. Palate was hot, and a bit all over the place but man that nose.

Just class in a glass. The 2nd best Côte Rotie next to his So Brune.

No formal notes. Drunk at dinner. The best 15 yet stateside. Just a genius wine.

One or those flowery reds that makes you say WOW! It is both full-bodied and elegant. Sumptuous and complex. Spicy and structured. Might as well be talking about women!

#IPOW. Must be a favorite in these quarters, even though I haven't seen any postings about it yet. Totally naked Syrah-expression, showing slatey minerality, wonderful floral notes, classic spice and bay leafs aromas and flavors, finishing super-fresh, clean, expressive and elegant. Only 12%...

Slightly reductive but incredibly interesting example of a Cote-Rotie made entirely of the small berries Serine. Savory

So much character and attractiveness, like the coolest person at a party that steals the show. Fantastic wine.
