Chave Hermitage Blanc 2001 - From Jay. Pale honey straw yellow in colour. Light acacia on the nose with some white flowers. Medium minus on the palette with a waxy element to the wine. The finish was briefly engaging. I came back to the wine about 2 hours later and it had vastly improved. The waxy/petro-chemical component had blown off and the wine was much more giving but it still failed to engage me with any vigour. Drink now onwards. 87/100.
