Hermitage Blanc Marsanne Roussanne

Crisp and pretty. Chalk and restrained lemon. Clarity and focus. Pure. Lean in and listen- this wine doesn’t shout like the others in the flight but this is awesome.

Actually the red Hermitage 1990. In magnum and the wine of the night among a great lineup.

What a stunning bottle, youthful, vibrant and long. Minty, smoky minerals, savory honey, more density and airiness rather than earthen, oily and fat.

Blanc* Showing more tonight than the '88 and younger than the '85.

Just starting to honey out, but I was startled by how withdrawn it was and it's unwillingness to engage at 23 years of age. Awkward.

This was the Blanc took a while to open up. Restrained not too opulent.
