One of my favorite wines that tariffs have destroyed. Was $33 or so before and now almost $50. These damn things need to go away. Gorgeous deep minerals on the nose. So clean and so pure. Some lime zest but huge minerals out of the gates. Palate is so sleek, so refined and hugely exceedingly mineral. Terrific freshness and energy. Awesome texture and depth. Icing on cake texture that is very substantial. Amazing depth that expresses itself as a function of mineralIty. Terrific concentration and intensity. Long, refined and exceedingly mineral finish. Leaves your mouth watering. Zero fat. All minerals and echoes of fruit.

Just one of the best sleeper 1er Crus in all of Côte de Beaune. It’s like a baby Corton Charlemagne. Shimmering mineral nose. So sleek and on fleek. I’ll go with my auto correct. Really packed nose that is only showing 10% of what it is, but you can tell this is a big boy. Hints of pear and apple. Earthy tree bark as hay. Palate is just a buzz saw. Balanced, textured, hit of opulence and such stunning purity and freshness. So clean. Like a laser with its focus. Really intense and almost sweet minerality. Juicy, so juicy and such an explosion on the finish. Long, windy finish. This is top class and at least as great as the 14. Terrific complexity. So so well made.

Gorgeous nose of lemon, minerals, lime rock candy, incredibly refined. Palate is like a baby Corton Chatlrlemagne with a kiss of oak, luscious Golden minerality, incredibly compact and complete with terrific energy, awesome sap and concentration with terrific purity and density. So clean and balanced with a terrific long finish.

Like a baby Corton Charlemagne. Love this wine. Lemon and lime candy on the nose. Citrus and apple. Minerals galore. Stunning aromas. Complex, high acids that just sizzle but are so tasty, juicy fruit and a whack of limestone. Terrific power and grace. Good concentration. Very pure. Almost crystalline. Very chewy and dense. So long. Balance is heavenly. So good. Always so good.

Love this 1er Cru especially in hands of Girard. Material here is like a baby Corton Charlemagne. Nose is candied lemon and lime with wonderful freshness and liquid minerals. Very clean. Pure nose like a Chardonnay limestone drop. Palate has terrific weight and density and great elegance. Really chewy and almost Grand Cru like grip. Sappy, mineral and clean. So long and finish dissipates nicely. Delicious.

Some of the best sleeper white Burgs are from Pernand and this is my favorite. Have had every vintage since 11. Gorgeous nose. Lemon drop, discreet and sweet wood. Really air, also feral and mineral. Caramel nougat but more in a terroir baby corton charlie sense than a barrel sense. Palate is bracing, fresh and so complete with minerals to burn, sweet wood, green apple and pear and all so refined. Excellent. Wow. With air this is a 9.5. The finesse now is here.

The minerality and acidity leaps out of the glass. I love the 14 white burgs. Deep lemon-oil drenched wet Burgundian rocky gravel. Intense and minerally in the mouth. Chiseled, not an ounce of flab. Long clingy finish. Really fine.

Needs 12 months. Great on day 2. Has jive balancing acidity. A hint of wood on day 1.

Very fresh. Super bright acidity. Almost chablisien but not quite as mineral. Citrus fruits with a hint of richness. Not super weighty but incredibly well made for what it is. A bit of richness on the finish. Need to try the 2014.
