Taken to Merriman’s with 3 hour pre-decant. Nice deep tawny color. Murky with an exotic nose. Notes of candied cherries, Asian spice, slate stone, dark moist earth, some menthol and some ripe rhubarb. Silky in the mouth. Fruit and structure evenly matched. Really good wine.

In a perfect spot. So fresh, great acidity. Wow. Last bottle and one of the bottles from the original cellar.

Contrary to one of the big name wine critics Burgundy is extremely agable....perfect at 20 years of age. This ultra rare Richbourg survived the Quake!

Ruby with a little orange red in the rims. Mostly translucent. Bright aromatics in the nose. Sweet cherry. Asian spice. Sandalwood. Velvet touch in the mouth. Light fruit balanced with delicate structure. Lasting finish. Great wine.

Dried out. In the coffin. Just waiting for the nails. I'll bet this was great though once upon a time.
