Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir

Wonderful damp earth, cinnamon and dried sour cherry. Thin body and light color intensity camouflaged a complex finish. Incredible village wine by Grivot. No need to hold.

Dark cherries, cherries, strawberry compote, dry cranberries, concentrated pomegranate, sweet, rich, moist, dark and light earth with crushed rocks, raspberry cola, hint of red vines, red floral & pink roses, light cinnamon & vanilla, grainy chalkiness, Roma tomatoes from Italy, tomato leaf, touch of bay leaf, nice acidity and polished finish. It's flaw, it's a little on lean body & flavor. It's elegant and pleasurable but every sip leaves you wanting more pronounced intensity of all of of the above. Color this one slightly flabby.

Sour/tart and just a hint of candied strawberries & cherries, raspberries, watermelon. Strawberry cola, hint of ginger root & smoke, red & pink florals, touch of dark earth and a juicy red fruit and chalky mineral finish. Fruits darken on the long decant.

Expected more from the Producer and the District ( the pearl of the Cote as Meadows refers to it). Lovely perfume as expected with good sappy earthy intensity which faded a little towards the end of the bottle. Actually at Jade Temple which is New and next door to Mr Wong.

Smoked hay. Delicate red fruit with a creamy core. Subtle spice. Perfumed lavender. Acid in check and tannic structure not prominent. A bit primary.

A bit closed and "grippy" - needs time & air

Soft smooth cherries and hint of smoke. Super elegant for such a young wine. Oddly now, better on its own than with food.

Super. smooth and well balanced, opened bottle on daughter's birthday. village wine, but better than other premier’s.

Can't wrap my head around this wine. On the nose I get off scents of dirty raw beets. Color close to prune juice. Lack of structure and focus. Taste more like inexpensive gamay than pinot. Not worth your time.

Excellent vosne, lengthy and plenty of fruit.
