Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Pinot Noir

‪A lovely wine from a less than lauded vintage. Great nose of beetroot, cassis, and redcurrent, though there is just a touch too much VA, which is slightly annoying. Great on the palate though, with tannins á point and very good length. Not the best Jean Grivot but no slouch.‬

A truly epic showing.
The wine sang tonight, balanced and harmonious.
Grippy and long.
A great way to end V20 at S+S

Enticing nose of forest floor, violet, raspberry and wild strawberry with lovely mature tannins. Good medium + acidity, fine balance and length

Incredible spice and depth. Still super compact. Shouldn’t be opened for 7-10

Dark and intense. Almost only with blue fruit and savory notes. This is serious and has great balance. Brooding and quite contained with great salinity

A bit herbal, but some red fruit, mint and spice. Check back in a few years.
