The 2020 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is well-defined on the nose with joyful brambly red fruit laced with crushed stone, certainly one of the more mineral-driven wines from the famed closed wall. There is an almost crystalline quality here. The palate is medium-bodied with a sense of strictness, fresh and quite sapid, not powerful yet taut, and has a finish that makes you want another sip. 2017 whoa this is jumping out of the glass l!! clean, fresh fresh bright. fucking delicious. red currant? slightly under ripe red cherry. medium tannins, medium acid- juicy.

A lovely wine from a less than lauded vintage. Great nose of beetroot, cassis, and redcurrent, though there is just a touch too much VA, which is slightly annoying. Great on the palate though, with tannins á point and very good length. Not the best Jean Grivot but no slouch.
