Either bottle variation or in a progressive age where the oak simply needs more time for integration, we'll see how future bottles present.

In the zone. Nose of meyer lemon and super confectionery seashell aromas and glorious minerality. Lovely earth notes as well. Palate is ripe, rich and tensile with a lemony lusciousness and a salty, invigorating finish that builds nicely. Clean and drinking perfectly now. Great concentration and density. Long finish. Outstanding.

Prior notes apply, but a little more round on the palate since prior bottle 6m ago. Will '19 Chablis village err on the early drinking side for ultimate enjoyment? Let's kick this again 2025+?

Gorgeous nose. Almost mosel like in its clear vivid mineral expression. Lemon, fresh moss, minerals, gorgeous depths and clarity. Concentrated, tart and intense with uncommon depth for this level and stinging intense minerality. Long and deep. Wide open.

OMG 2017 Chablis, what a vintage you are!!

Nose has slightly grassy notes, sweet pineapple core and wet, crushed limestone.

Palate has very zingy lime, lime flesh, tart green apple, lemon peel and drying mineral dust. Medium-long finish.

Decanted only about 30m, more time needed.

24 Hour Update: Acidity has subsided, wet limestone is more prominent, pineapple notes are more core and less sweetness today. I knew this just needed more time to come around, fantastic.

Just concluded our annual Fall seclusion into the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again.

Gorgeous nose. Lemon drop, mad minerals, super briney oyster shell. Candied lime zest rock candy. Such an attractive nose. Palate is precise and zippy with some fat for the vintage but killer lifting acids on the finish. Sappy and terrifically ripe with terrific purity and clarity. Terrific concentration and weight after 30 minutes while retaining terrific acidity and freshness.

Just opening now...this is what you drink on a 96°F afternoon in the far reaches of western Massachusetts, and you should pick a wonderful vintage like this...

Beautiful greenish-yellow color. Nose has green apple peel, light green herbs, lime zest, warm citrus and beautiful minerality. Palate has wow acidity, wow minerality, wow citrus and wow refreshing, just a touch of saline on the med-long finish. I'm shocked at $20 for what has been delivered inside this bottle, very good effort. Damn I love '16 Burgundy.

Just had the 2014 but I think the 2016 is even better. Insane lime zest, seashells, oyster brine nose. So good. It’s wafting and super aromatic. Rich, and voluptuous but also with a stunning mineral spine. So juicy with so much depth. Terrific concentration. Wow. What a stupid value.

Snazzy new label and what a triumph this is in 21! Seashells, lanolin, lime zest echoes, so kinmeridigian and classic. Gorgeous breadth and elegance the nose. An airiness. Very high class and pretty. Palate is so crisp, so tense and so seashelly. Utterly classic and with scintillating acidity and excellent length. A great effort. Inner mouth aromas develop with air as does greater focus. So impressive.
