Medium Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, floral and earthy spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of cacao, tobacco and mushroom. Fine tannins, lively acidity, medium+ finish, ending with fruit, spice and earthy notes.

2015. High-toned from a massive hit of VA. Some pleasant black & blue Nuits qualities, but the volatility is just too much.

Tart, disjointed, shockingly devoid of fruit for such a ripe vintage. No clear technical flaws on the surface, just a very odd expression of Pinot Noir. Almost presents more like Blaufrankisch, albeit not a very good one. I’m really unsure whether this was simply a bad bottle, but this example is an amazing disappointment.

2010 Chauvenet Bourgogne Rouge: satisfying, still quite fresh, sooo easy to drink. Not complex but "tres buvable"
