Last time we had this was nearly 4 years ago - the age has been good to this, but no need to wait much longer in my view. Has that lovely ethereal quality on the palate. Quite restrained but so delicious. Wonderful pairing with roast chicken with mushrooms. Lighter bodied but all there. Really nice burg - one that is just hard to stop drinking.

Floral, sous bois, sappy cherry and blackberry, concentrated fruit but very discreet oak and alcohol (12.5). Great at this level 😋

A delicious pairing with roasted chicken with shallots and garlic. A little green/stemmy when we first tasted, but opened really nicely. Good acid, bing cherry on the palate.

From a producer I really enjoy - in fact a 1998 clos de la roche from Lignier was one of the wines that got me very interested in burgundy several years ago. This probably needs a couple more years but was enjoyable with a 2 hour decant. A bit of green stemminess on initial pop, which mostly dissipates. Lots of dark cherry. Very mouth filling with green herbs. Quite balanced with a nice refreshing finish with good acid. For $40 a buy for sure to see how it develops.
