This was my holy grail of the semester. Saved the best for last. I bought this bottle of wine for Valentine’s Day dinner at the Biltmore hotel. It was $300. A real Somm came out and explained the wine and everything - just like the assignment. It was a great night (except for my bank account) but it all worked out in the end. This varietal was grown in the Burgundy region of France. 2020 vintage so this red wine was in its prime years. It was amazing. Not too earthy and not too much berry flavor. The notes explode in your mouth and stick there even after you swallow. So smooth. Best bottle of wine I’ve ever had (yet!)

Took about 90 minutes to open up, this one has ages ahead of it. Biodynamicly farmed, naturally fermented and unfiltered. Aged in 40% new oak. Delicate red fruits, not the most concentrated but in harmony with medium acidity and silky tannins.

Perhaps our favorite Pinot Noir - need to buy more and learn more of the wine.

Solid, oops I already said that. Very approachable family of wines. Had fun sampling a few.

Light-to-medium bodied. Strawberry with lots of mushroom, earth, and funk. The finish goes on and on. If it’s your thing, sit back and let the good times roll.
