Initially a musty smell which blew off. Aromatics of sweet ripe nectarine and river gravel. Rich flavours on the palate with that nectarine coming through with the minerality. Oak influence is totally integrated as with the Montelena. This is Boillot’s Les Perrieres from Meursault not Puligny Montrachet Les Perrieres. Spotlessly made. A superb 1er Cru Meursault - a point or 2 higher than the Montelena. Both excellent Chardonnays.

Bright, fresh and vivid. Citrus and white rock. Lifted and detailed. A little sweetness and great structure.

Limpid lemon oil and shells on the nose. Poised and balanced. Really fresh with a salinity and good soft acidity. Very pretty.

Light gold. Heavy. Cork smells of taint but the wine in the glass doesn’t. Citrus and white clay notes, plus apricot, cantaloupe, some tan spice and crushed stone. Vibrant fruit and acidity. Over time the cork taint became more evident but didn’t overly detract from what is a petty good wine.

Birthday wine. Love this wine. Fantastic producer and the 14’s are at a good point right now. Not too fat with some good minerality.

Outshined by other fantastic burgundies in a tasting today, but good efforts. A little sulfur and matchstick on the nose, but good stone and chalk backing it up. Slightly more tropical perhaps as well.

Light yellow gold. Citrus, apricot, petrol and river stone nose. Nice acidity balances the wine's fruit in the mouth.

Solid. A little fat and rich with an unsatisfying finish. More acid please. Just not the mood I'm in in regards to White Burg
