A broad palate with all the lanolin, and waxy white fruits I associate to Chenin, but in a more feral & electric body. This vintage compared to 2019 tasted tamer in my mind, or it was just a bit closed ( no decant). Still, a producer I will always try to follow…

Has a chiseled and almost austere side with its high acid and reductive nerve, but the generous golden fruit on the palate and a hint of botrytis (to me) offer some openness and warm. Struck flint, golden orchard fruit, wool and ginger dominate. Subtle notes of leaves, white tea, and beautiful floral notes underneath. Pure, but still offering a nudge of Chenin funkiness.

Delicious “basic” chenin bottling, refreshing and crisp, green apple and lemon with medium weight and some mineral accents. Very pleased and glad we didn’t go for a higher end choice only to be served out of plastic cups ;)
