Hmm...tasted through the whole lineup along side 3 other Saumur/Chenin producers and the whole Joly line. These wines are so highly regarded and difficult to come by. Don’t get it, the 15’s are all crazy reductive, smell like peanuts and soy sauce. Of course, gave one to a Somm who thought it was amazing and so cool, showing terroir and was like sucking on a rock. Feels flawed to me.

Pop and pour. Wow, this has evolved in the last 1.5 years. Lovely nose of tarragon, soft sweet green pepper, a hint of lanolin, lemon..a lovely savory and sweet mix. On the palate: fantastic acidity, amazing density; sweet apple, tarragon, sweet pepper, loads of stony minerality, sea salt. Intensely flavored, and a nice long finish. Flat out stunning right now.

Aromas of lemon, some apple, beeswax and some wet stone. The acidity is there along with a nice richness, medium-full bodied and wide along with very good persistence, delicious. 91-92 almost
