Domaine Grégoire Hoppenot
Morgon Corcelette Gamay
Good. Slightly darker and more robust than a classical Morgon.

Aug 5th, 2020Just a very fun and eminently drinkable Beaujolais. Tons of cherry on the nose. Good firm minerality, good acid. Not overly fancy but a pleasure to drink.

Aug 5th, 2020Well, I almost drank the whole bottle it was so good. What a complex, delightfully bright wine. It masks how complicated it is by being a charm to drink, but starts off mildly funky, clay earthen, and full of ripe cherry. The mid is slightly tannic, becomes a darker stone fruit, a little ash, still clinging to dirt. Just a smidge. It’s all plum and tannic hugs on the way down, without the smackiness of a hefty grape. Leaves you salivating and wanting more.
