Wow. This is genius. Stunning nose of rich honeyed apricots, marmalade, spice, cinnamon, cardamon, mango and guava. It’s at once tropical but has beguiling freshness. The palate is an uncanny freshness and is so clean and so pure it’s just staggering this is Roussanne. Amazing purity. Incredible balance. The stuff of dreams. This is unreal. Best non Christine bottling I’ve ever had from Berlioz. So fine and so delicate. Just a stunning wine.

Oct 26th, 2021Stunning. Insane nose. Huge fruit complexity. Just huge. Wow. Amazing alpine minerality. Spherical nose. Flowers, just so complex and to be perfectly honest so many unique aromas I cannot pinpoint but I know are Savoie Roussanne. Huge unique spice and flowers and so so mineral. Bread, yeast. Just stunning. Palate is so refined and so complex. So rich as well but perfectly pitched acidity. Palate is dense and structured with dazzling purity and freshness and so much minerality and the Berlioz acidity. Insane concentration and what a mouthfeel. So intense yet in incredible order. Wow. Super long finish. Amazing purity. Amazing length. AmaZing wine.

Deep gold color. Initial note of oxidation quickly blows off, giving way to a lovely Roussanne nose of lanolin and yellow orchard fruit, along with a whiff of mountain stream. Broad and oily-textured, it got slightly bitter, intense flavors and great length. Probably because of the hot 15 growing season, this wine shows its relationship to the Roussannes of the Northern Rhône.

May 30th, 20192013 Gilles Berlioz Vin de Savoie Chignin-Bergeron "Les Filles." Huge fruit and very friendly on the nose. Big fruit explosion. Lychee, honey. Great complexity and acidity. Lovely, pure and fresh. So clean. Balance is extraordinary.

I never mention color but this is deep and golden. Striking. Ripe and hugely fruity nose with insane fruit complexity. Guava, pear, peach, apricot, just insane. Also alpine love like hay, fresh stream aromas and herbs. Ridiculous. Wet earth and insane earth/mineral complexity and it just stanks. Best aromas of any Berlioz 15's. It almost smells like really fine white Burgundy. I know, Roussanne wtf? But it does. Honey, caramelized sugar. What a nose. Amazing density and complexity. Like whoah. Like really whoah. Yet is also remains true to its origins. Wow this is complex. Balance is extraordinary as is the purity. Nose makes you think it's going to be one way and palate is totally not what one expects. Lean, mineral, chiseled. Fruit is there but what poise, complexity and length. The mineral expression is just beautiful. This is something else.

100% Roussanne.
Nose...If I ever had a white that I could tell you was "oily" this is that wine. Caramelized honey, pear, guava and wet clay.
Palate is hazelnut butter, macerated pear, over-ripe apricot. F...this is an amazing bottle, I don't happen across Roussanne like this everyday, or like ever!

Банановая шкурка, абрикосовый нектар, зелёная груша, белый налив, жасмин, медоносы, зеленый чай, луговые травы. Свежо, фруктово-цветочно, с едва ощутимым сахаром и заметным для 12% алкоголем. Тонко, естественно и питко, с чрезвычайно легкой поступью, прямолинейно и не слишком комплексно, но с беззаботным шармом. Немного подводит загадочная, чуть выпирающая спиртуозность.
На второй день становится экзотичнее и пышнее.
