Oct 1st, 20182013 Gilles Berlioz Roussette de Savoie (Altesse). Huge nose. Yellow fruits. Honeyed. Deep and very expressive aromas. Wonderful texture. Fat and concentrated. Lovely acidity on the edges of the round flavors. So pure as that is the theme here.

Brilliant.
Hot on open. Fine after 15.
Nose is beautiful. Intense peach flower.
As this opens almost like old Riesling. Like old muellen. There’s some extra element I can’t put my finger on that takes it to the next level. Plus that mountain stream freshness. Wow.
Palate is really clean. Mountain stream. Peach nectar. Balanced. Very good deliciousness without being over the top.
A great wine. Very distinctive.

Overripe melon and a touch of honey with the most subtle touch of lanolin. Wet rock mineralogy and a mouthfeel that widens and softens after an initial art zing. Reminiscent of good dry Loire Chenin.

it's not an altesse, it's a mondeuse...and it's delicious!!! dry as savoie can be, but beside the chalky texture, it's balanced and nice forest fruits
