Les Véroilles Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir

My second favorite on the night--by a hair over the next one, the Gevrey-C. Layered "animale" notes and great full-flavored acidity, expanding on the close. (Burg 3/6)

Pale colour with a touch of evolution at the meniscus. The nose has beautiful red fruit, notes of tea, spices and just a touch of evolution and tertiary aromas. The wine is medium to soft bodied, with soft and silky tannins, classy, elegant, with a long finish on tart red fruit. Very good purity of fruit here, delicious and very good for this lighter vintage. 92-93pts. Couleur assez pale à peine tuilée au ménisque. Le nez a un beau fruit rouge légèrement compoté, des notes de thé, un peu épicé, à peine quelques aromes tertiaires. La bouche est de corps moyen à souple avec des tannins soyeux et fondus, le fruit est pur, le vin est frais avec une élégance exaemplaire, une belle longueur sur une finale délicieuse avec des fruits rouges très légèrement acidulés, savoureux. 92-93pts
