Les Charmes Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Dark plummy fruit. Tang and vigor. Still quite tight and contained. Masculine for a chambolle but great quality.

Very enjoyable. Red fruits and menthol with some earth.

Very reticent initially. Not sure wine will ever completely blossom, or show the exuberance, generosity, of Charmes. Classically styled otherwise. Actually, since wine pleasure is based time, place, and company shared, company is rated at 88.

A gorgeous wine. Intensely fragrant with notes of pure ripe raspberries and menthol and licorice with air. On the palate raspberry jam, spiced wild strawberry, mint, and a touch of underbrush. Gorgeous silken texture and fine length. I just wanted a touch more freshness. In a great place and killer with veal.

Primary fruit and youthful. Good to taste but needs time....

Elegance age and strength.

Super ripe fruit.
