Montée de Tonnerre Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Enjoyable but somewhat middlebrow Chablis. Nice yellow orchard fruit, lemon, smoke and flint so it hits the right notes but has maybe lost some potency and incisiveness. Not bad but could have used more thunder in my thunder mountain

Good, but a little more buttery than I would have expected.

From magnum. Really great and rich and full of flavor

Good Chablis. Reductive aromas at first. Plentiful limestone, citrus and some smokey peach. Could have used a little more "Thunder Mountain" to justify the price tag

Has all the ingredients but a little flabby

Rich. Round. Ripe. Lovely acid. Enjoyable bottle.
