Lots of pleasure here, but built for the long haul. Broad and powerful with a core of all red fruit. Generally more reliant on its structure than heady floral-perfume aromatics for its quality. Lives up to its pedigree, for sure, but I generally prefer aromatic to structure-focused burgundy. Oak is supportive but definitely present, in-line with its structural pedigree.

Always a treat. Great bottle of wine. An infant, 3-5 years before I'd revisit.

Ahhhh. Some quality juice. Still very tight. Needs time. I bet 09 would be especially enjoyable.
